Making Family Court More Effective During this Difficult Time
I want to thank the Connecticut Judicial Department for taking steps to make the family court more responsive to the needs of divorcing families while still protecting the health of the judges and staff, lawyers and public. As of April 20, many types of items that previously required the parties or their lawyers to physically appear in the courtroom may be processed remotely. Here is a list of just some of these items:
—-Approving agreements regarding temporary custody, alimony, child support and living arrangements,
—Approving joint Petitions for Non-Adversarial Dissolutions,
—Withdrawing divorce actions,
—Issuing Judgments.
