Services Provided
| Mediation |
Mediation is a private and respectful way to resolve family disputes
outside of court. As a mediator, I am retained by the couple to guide you through the appropriate legal process,
identify your respective interests, create choices and assist the couple to communicate with each other to
achieve a “win-win” resolution. Rather than being either client’s “lawyer”, I
rely upon my legal expertise to help you achieve your goals by serving as an educator, consultant and facilitator.

| Collaborative Practice |
Collaborative practice is another private and respectful way to
divorce or resolve other family disputes without court interference. Collaborative practice is also family
focused, especially when children are involved. In contrast to mediation, each client retains their own
specially trained lawyer. As a collaborative lawyer, I work as your advocate to achieve and satisfy your
legitimate interests. We emphasize open communication and creative decision making. (for more,

| Binding Arbitration |
Binding arbitration is a private hearing process that allows spouses
to choose who will decide their case, the rules and timetable for their hearing, the place for their hearing and
the particular issues the arbitrator will decide. Although like court litigation, binding arbitration is an
adversarial method of dispute resolution, it allows couples to avoid the public airing of their business.

| Representing and Advocating for Children |
| A small minority of divorcing couples or unmarried parents ending their
romantic relationship are unable or unwilling to resolve parenting issues notwithstanding the wealth of assistance
available outside as well as within the court system. These parents instead choose to leave their child’s
future in the hands of a judge. I serve these children in the litigation setting as their attorney or guardian ad
litem. (for more, click on “Child Custody”) |
