of Collaborative Divorce on NBC News channel 30.

While many lawyers say they practice "collaborative divorce" or that all their divorces are collaborative, in strict legal terms, a collaborative divorce is a specific process that abides by certain basic requirements including three core principles.
Two specific attributes of collaborative divorce are particularly valuable to high income or net worth divorcing persons—private financial fact gathering and neutral financial expertise.
Like mediation, collaboration is a respectful, private and creative way to divorce. But if you want or need your attorney by your side throughout the divorce, collaborative divorce may be right for you.
In 1990, a Minneapolis, Minnesota lawyer named Stew Webb was struggling with the traditional litigated divorce process. Stew had spent 15 years representing clients divorce the traditional adversarial way, relying upon court imposed rules and directives.
